Dan strike
B.Comm., LL.B. – Barrister & Solicitor
Dan’s practice focuses on Residential Real Estate, Wills, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University in 1983 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1987.
Called to the Bar in 1989, Dan has practiced with the firm ever since, providing trusted legal advice to individuals, families, and businesses throughout the community. With decades of experience and a practical, client-focused approach, he is dedicated to delivering dependable service and sound legal solutions.
Outside the office, Dan affectionately known as “Lightning Strike” is an avid golfer, decorated hockey player, and accomplished curler.
Bradley p. phillips
B.A., LL.B. – Barrister & Solicitor
Brad Phillips is a seasoned lawyer whose practice focuses on Residential Real Estate, Corporate Law, and Estate Planning. He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, refinances, title transfers, and land development. Brad also provides counsel on business law and estate planning matters, drawing on his background in personal injury and civil litigation to offer clients a well-rounded legal perspective.
Brad earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Leicester in the UK, where he earned first-class distinction in Real Property Law and European Union Law while representing the Canadian students as President of the Canadian Student Law Society.
Since joining the firm in 2011, Brad has earned a reputation for his approachable manner and practical advice, qualities that led to his partnership in 2016. Known for his thoughtful advice and client-first focus, Brad is dedicated to delivering solutions that meet the unique needs of individuals and businesses.
Beyond his legal practice, Brad is actively engaged in his community. He currently serves on the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and a local Credit Union board. He has previously held leadership roles, including Chair of the Grandview Children’s Centre Board of Directors and Secretary/Treasurer of the Clarington Board of Trade. Brad has also served on the boards of the Durham Region Law Association and the Rotary Club of Bowmanville.
In his personal time, Brad enjoys outdoor activities with his family, including hiking, biking, and go-kart racing.
Pasqualina Derose
LL.B. - Barrister & Solicitor
Pasqualina’s practice focuses on Residential Real Estate, Wills, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration. Early in her career, Pasqualina practiced Estate Litigation, where she gained valuable experience navigating complex estate disputes. This background allows her to approach estate planning and administration with a practical perspective, anticipating potential issues and ensuring her clients’ wishes are clearly protected.
Pasqualina earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Leicester in the UK, where she was actively involved in the student legal community. She served as Treasurer of the Sports Law Society and as Liaison Officer for The Amicus Charity within the Pro Bono Society, these experiences that reflect her commitment to advocacy and leadership.
Beyond her legal work, Pasqualina is currently learning American Sign Language (ASL), demonstrating her passion for inclusivity and accessibility in serving her clients.
